Empathy Mornings

Building empathy takes practice, education, support, and sometimes coffee.

Being empathetic can be exhausting and frustrating at times, which tends to make it a skill that we downplay, avoid, and ignore. We've gotten to a point where we need to focus directly on the practice of being empathetic so that we can use it as a radical force for positive personal, community, and business transformation.

Join Empathy Labs for a mid-week morning of empathy practice together at Constellations! Free & fun. Enjoy a morning with coffee, croissants, and conversations on October 2nd from 8:00 am - 9:30 am.

Doors open at 8:00 am and discussion begins at 8:30 am!

Central Park Squirrel Census Maps

🗺 CENTRAL PARK SQUIRREL CENSUS MAPS 🗺

The Squirrel Census, based in Atlanta, recently counted all the Eastern grays in Central Park in NYC and presented their findings in the Central Park Squirrel Census 2019 Report. This pursuit required the creation of two! epic! maps! of Central Park — one representing the human experience, and one representing the squirrel view of things.

Now, we invite you to finish your work week with us on the Beltline, and listen to Squirrel Census Chief Cartographer Nat Slaughter give a PowerPoint on how — and why — he created the most comprehensive survey of Central Park in 70-some-odd years.

FREE TO GET IN! You may kindly RSVP, here.

Thursday, May 30th: Periodical

On Thursday, May 30, join us at MODA for Constellations’ monthly discussion of smart articles in their “this is not a book-club” series, Periodical.

Periodically, it’s nice to read an article.  We do that, then talk about it over coffee.  Like a book club with less commitment.  For the “Art of Espresso” exhibit, Periodical delves into design, romance, technology, and caffeinated derivatives.

We’ll be reading an article by Anjali Enjeti titled “This Food Truck Serves Up Gourmet Fare and Drinks — And Jobs For Refugees.” The article highlights the great work that Clarkston based, Refuge Coffee Co., is doing in Atlanta and beyond. Kitti Murray, the lovely founder and CEO of Refuge Coffee Co., will be joining us for the discussion too!

Join us! It’s free! Kindly RSVP Here.
